Hi,
We are looking for a monitoring tool which monitors SQL Server databases and webservers.
We have 2 prod servers and 5 webservers, we would like to monitor DB backups failures,CPU,utilization, response time, appln connectivity stuff like that. If you have any idea on 3rd party tools, please let me know.

For the databases - try SQL Stripes.

If you are looking to monitor the SQL Agent, give SQL Agent Insight a try. You can find it at http://www.brentec.ca. It will give a good overall picture job status' along with alerting via email if core metrics deviate from configured thresholds.
Regards.

RedGate has recently announced V2 of their Monitor product. It does quite nicely I think.
If you want something more high-end I highly recommend SQL Sentry's Performance Advisor product.

We use DIAB from DIABSqlSoftware.com. It will handle all the SQL stuff, sorry no Web monitoring but at the low price of DIAB you could get a separate tool for monitoring the Web.
