Hi All,
Could you please let me know what are the events to be monitored for a Active/Passive Cluster?
Thanks in Advance.

The same ones you'd monitor on any other server. The only real addition is that if some event causes a failover, your monitoring needs to be able to capture the failover event. All the monitoring tools I'm familiar with do that fine.

Thanks Grant.
Here they are not using any monitoring tool. A team will be assigned to built script or process for monitoring. A input has to go to that team about the event to be monitored.
Monitoring the state of SQL Server Service would be enough?

Satheesh.

Yeah, pretty much. You just need to know that it has failed over and that it's back online. No other special monitoring needed.

Thanks Grant. I had included below three parameters,
•State of SQL Server Database Engine Windows Service in Active/Passive
•State of SQL Server Agent Windows Service in Active/Passive
•State of Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) service

Thanks,
Satheesh.
