Modifying filesize of a principal database

  Hi

  I've just attempted to effectively add 5Gb to the data file of a database that is mirrored. When I have tried to do this I receive a MODIFY FILE encountered operating system error 112 (error not found) while attempting to expand.

  Now the file is there and there doesn't seem to be any issues.

  The database is mirrored (high safety/ automatic failover - ) although on the mirror the file location is different due to a corrupt mount point we encountered recently, is this the cause and is there a way around this?
