Help!!
I'm trying to open SQL Server EM, but I keep getting the following message:
MMC cannot opent the file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. THis may also be because you do not have sufficient access tights to the file.
I have checked and started the services, I have even reinstalled the SP3a and uninstalled/reinstalled SQL Server 2000; I still get the same message upon opening EM. I'm not sure where to go next. Please advise.

Attempt to search for the missing .MSC file first. If that can be located you may wish copy it back to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\ directory.
If not copy the "x86\BINN\SQLEM.MSC" to the above location from your SQL Server CD and then rename this file as 'SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC'

This happened twice to me. Don't know why, but somehow this *.msc file became corrupted. Jim's method is probably the quickest one to get back on track.
