I removed and re-installed sql 2005 on my local machine. Now after I installed the database engine and analysis services components I don't see neither in the start menu. I see the group for sql server 2005, but in there's only "Configuration Tools"; "Documentation and Tutorials" and "sql sever 2005 upgrade advisor". I installed the database engine along with the sample code, Db's, etc. and couldn't get to sql server management console. Then I installed analysis services to see if that you fix it but I still can't find SSMS.
Is there a step I'm missing during install? Let me just say that there's sql 2000 installed on my machine but that shouldn't be a problem.
Does anybody have any idea how to get past this? The bulk of my daily work is in SSMS.
Regards,
john
