MIS in the UK

  • I have had a post previously as MIS Information Analyst in the education sector (College) and they used Oracle 9i.

Some other colleges I knew of used Oracle or SQL Server but you should be able to get an MIS job on most platforms with any SQL really.

I should amend that Civilization is when people don't have to die just because they are weak, slow or stupid. (All things that would get you killed otherwise).

Heh... brings me to another of my favorite "Modenisms" in meeting where people hear, but do not listen... "I didn't get this old being stupid... but YOU might have!" 😛

No... that's not directed at you, Barry... just repeating a saying.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
