mirroring witness offline for some time in high safety mode

  hi I have database mirroring running on prod environment with

  high safety with automatic failover(synchroneous) configuration

  SO we have one principle, one mirror and one witness

  due to some maintenance issues, windows team wants to take my witness offline

  for around one hour. can u tell me wht r the effects on mirrroring if my witness

  goes offline? according to one article from microsoft

  "If you expect the witness to remain disconnected for a significant amount of time,

  we recommend that you remove the witness from the session until it becomes available."

  So can u tell me how to remove witness?? also can I pause mirroring during this one hour??

  and what should i keep in mind when witness comes online again?? THanks a lot
