Mirroring setup on top of clustering (Best Practices)

All,
We have a 2 node Active/Passive cluster in place and we are planning to setup mirroring to a DR site (30 mile radius) on top of the clustering. What are the preferred options to setup mirroring / What are the best practices I should follow.

SQL 2008R2 Enterprise

You should set up PARTNER TIMEOUT for the DB mirroring to be greater than the time it takes for the SQL Server Instance to failover from Node 1 to Node 2. Otherwise before the DB gets available as primary on Node 2, it will be available on the Mirror server as the Primary DB.
