Hello all-
I was told that if I wanted to setup mirroring between multiple instance on the same server that each endpoint had to be different number. Is that true? Or can I use the default 5022 for each instance?
Ex.
Server1\Instance1
Use endpoint 5022
Server1\Instance2
Use endpoint 5022
VS
Server1\Instance1
Use endpoint 5022
Server1\Instance2
Use endpoint 5023

On the same server you will need to use the second option. Each instance needs its own port.

Ok thanks for the info.
In the wizard it's grayed out and I can't change the port number, can you advise me on how I need to accomplish this task?

You will have to use T-SQL to accomplish your task.
