  Hi Folks,

  I was just wondering post SP2 - do you still need to enable trace flag 1400 when you start the instance to get mirroring to work?

  when setting the port for the endpoint does that need to be the port of the partner instance or it is user defined?

  From SP1 onwards you don't need to set the trace flag to enable mirroring. The ports are are the endpoints defined on each server.
