  Hi,

  I have a principal instance(db mirror) which is required to be failed over from node 1 to node 2. Would the cluster failover impact anything. Do I have to perform any steps on db mirrorring etc, all the dbs are the principal.

  Just to add, the mirroring mode is high safety without automatic failover.

  When I run this query

  SELECT mirroring_witness_name, mirroring_witness_state FROM sys.database_mirroring

  mirroring_witness_name mirroring_witness_state

  0

  0

  0

  0

  0

  mirroring_witness_state of 0 = Unknown and mirroring_witness_name NULL = No witness exists.

  Here, mirroring_witness_name is blank. What does this imply. Does it mean that there is no witness.

  Can I safely assume the operating mode is high safety without automatic failover.

  Please let me know.
