Minatanace plan for backup

  • No it doesn't give any error, and every thing is going OK , during updating ..

  • I am having the same issue. I used to have a working maintenance plan but it started failing ages ago. I have been a tad lax in looking at it so I thought I'd delete it and use the wizard to create it from scratch:

Started: 14:59:02 Error: 2008-12-09 14:59:03.88 Code: 0xC0010018 Source: Update Statistics Description: Error loading a task. The contact information for the task is "Update Statistics Task; Microsoft Corporation; Microsoft SQL Server v9; © 2004 Microsoft Corporation; All Rights Reserved;http://www.microsoft.com/sql/support/default.asp;1". This happens when loading a task fails. End Error Error: 2008-12-09 14:59:03.90 Code: 0xC0010018 Source: Back Up Database (Full) Description: Error loading a task. After reading this post I decided to drop it and recreate it from MS directly on the server rather than remotely.

This was the same except: The contact information for the task is ""

    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3282.00 (Intel X86) Aug 5 2008 01:01:05 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Workgroup Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

Studio version: 9.00.3042.00 both locally and remotely.

  • Try to install the workstation tools on your PC an then install SP2 on it (Workstation). The next step will be trying to create the MAintenance plan from your desktop after the workstation tools and SP2 are installed. Good luck!
