Hello Friends,
I need to migrate MS Access database to sql 2008. Could you please let me know the best migration strategies (how to go for it)? We already have 2008 environment setup and now need to move MS Access DB to SQL 2008. I would really appreciate your help here

To keep it simple, I would open the database in SSMS, right-click the database, point to Tasks, and then click Import Data.
Start the wizard by selecting MS Access DB as the source type, and select the MS Access data file.
Follow the rest of the prompts and you should be good to go.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
When I tried to connect to access db via import/export it gives me three options
Access db file path -- I know the path
Username and Password ---would like to know what username/password I need to use here. Is it my windows authentication which I use to log in to the servers or do I need get MS Access password? Do I have to request from access administrator? Please help

MS Access userid and password required
But NOTE it in this process your relationship will not move from access database to sql server 2008,you have to define separately
