Hi
We have a couple of SQL Server boxes which are part of an NT domain structure, some using Windows authentication, some using SQL authentication, some using both. We are planning to migrate to Active Directory and I wanted to know what the procedure should be and what I should look out for regarding service accounts, etc.
Any Help Appreciated

EDIT
SQL Server is not supposed to be part of your Active directory, Microsoft knows this but leave it for you to find out if you choose to get certified or a programmer using web technologies. You should configure SQL Server as a member server that joins your Domain.
Sorry I did not cover the service accounts, SQL Server Agent account should be Domain Admin if you use any of the automation like jobs, replication, DTS with xp_cmdshell and DTSRUN.EXE.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,

And the migration should go side by side at first so you can change service accounts etc and test as you go.
We went AD and had the AD and NT domains both active for about 3 months. Better than everything stopping all at once and switching into panic mode.
DB
The systems fine with no users loggged in. Can we keep it that way ?br>
