migrating jobs and alerts

    hi every 1

    we are in the process of migrating from 00 to 05.

    can any 1 help me how to migrate jobs and alerts in 00 ( sql sgent) to 05.

    a detail answer would be really nice since i am new at this.

    The easiest option is just generate scripts of your jobs and alerts and run them on the 2005 server.

    But make sure that you've transferred logins first because if you try to create a job with a owner which doesn't exist on the new server the script will fail.
