Migrating from SQL2005 compat mode 80 to SQL server 2008 R2 (64bit)

    Hi ,

    Please share your experiance with migrating a SQL server 2005 (still on compat80) directly in to SQL 2008 R2. (unfortunately an in-place upgrade)

    Hi,

    You should not have any issues at all. Just for precaution please take a backup of your DB.

    Few months back even I went thorugh the same process. Even after migrating to SQL 2008 I had left the DB level on to 80. Just changed it few days ago.
