I would like to migrate our sql server 7 databases, dts pakages, jobs, logins to SQL 2005 Enterprise edition. Is this directly possible or I have to go through SQL7 --> SQL 2000 --> SQL 2005? Any major things to consider while migration?

Unfortunately you must do a step upgrade when SQL 7 is involved.

SQL7 databases may be directly attached\restored to SQL Server 2005 with no step between. When upgrading to SQL Server 2008 you would need to go through either SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 step first
This link details the supported upgrade paths from SQL 7 to 2005
