We've got an old (~8 years old) VB6 application which I'm going to be re-writing (YEAH! - it will be great to get away from VB6!). In this re-write I want to also get away from MS Access and use SQL Server 2005 Express. How do I get started at this? How do I migrate our Access database to SQL Express? I've also got SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition on my development PC, will that cause a problem? Can I access SQL Express using SQL Server Management Studio, from SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition? Or do I have to use Visual Studio 2005 in order to access it?

Yes, you can access SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with the Management Studio from SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition.
