I have about 600 packages saved in MSDB 2005 SQL server. I have new box where I installed SQL 2012. What is the fast and quicker way to migrate packages from 2005 to 2012 sever. Packages are pretty basic.
In 2012, I can save it in file system instead of MSDB if that makes it faster for migration process. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to open SQL Data tools on from the 2012 box and open the project and upgrade all packages. When we did this we wanted to keep the production packages "2008" running. So I used the file system made a copy then upgraded the copied version. Once this was done we moved the packages into the 2012 deployment model. Then pointed the production to the upgraded packages. Do not know if this helps.
