Let me know what you find out? We don't use CR but I know a few clients that this can be useful!
Have you put in a Crystal Report v9 in and upload it? Did it come back with anything?

The overall rpt to rdl conversion quality is very impressive. Simple and medium complicated reports can almost be fully converted. Complicated line and box objects can be precisely converted. Picture objects are converted to external jpeg files.
This can highly reduce the overhead to convert Crystal Reports to Reporting Services.
The conversion of chart and crosstab is not good enough.
Anyone knows a better rpt to rdl conversion approach?

I've checked it out.
RptToRdl.Com is better. They convert formulas, too. Their full conversion services are quite good, too. I haven't found anyone even close to being able to match them on full conversion costs.

In addition to rpttordl, I tried CrystalToRDL. The conversion quality is not good enough, even the very simple reports could not be converted, the conversion results were missing xml tags, and it tried to convert a report to multi-column tablix. This may be OK for simple reports, but it would not a good approach for complex reports. If anyone would like to do further customization of the rdl file, it would be very hard.
Jeff's rpttordl is in business for quite a while, his full conversion services may be very good. There are some other consultant companies that can provide full rpt to rdl services as well. According his website, the automatic rpt to rdl could take more than three days, so his approach may need some manual work.
Currently http://www.crystalmigrater.com/Default.aspx is free. Try and you will find which one can help you better.

It turns out that after using tools to automatically convert rpt to rdl, usually complicated formulas can not work immediately. Anyone knows good resources on how to migrate Crystal Formulas to SSRS expressions?
