    Hi !

    I got this error when i using a select statement from xp machine to sql 7.0.

    If i run this select in w2k machine, the error don't occurs.

    I need some help !

    ?  Please explain what you are doing.  Are you executing some select statement from QA that is installed on an XP workstation?  Is the SQL Server instance installed on a remote server?  Are you saying when you use client tools from some other workstation that happens to be Win2K to access this same remote SQL Server you do not get the error?   COuld it be that the XP machine is unaware that the remote server exists?  Do you have XP SP2 installed?  If so there are a lot of security issues that need to be resolved.
