Hi All,
We are using PDC, Citrix Server and MS SQL 2000 Server. We have 1PDC, 2 Citrix clustering and 2 SQL Clustering server connecting to external disk storage. Sometimes when users connect to the SQL Cluster server, and they could not connect to SQL server and receive the error message as below:-
Connection failed: SQLState: '28000' SQL Server Error: 18452
[Microsoft][OCBS SQL Server driver][SQL Server][Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted a SQL Server connection.
Users can log in to the Citrix server but received the above error message when launch the application. However when I use administrator id to log in to the Citrix server and did not receive error message though I launch the in-house application.
After that, I use Clustering Administrator and move the "SQL 2000 Group" from server 1 to server 2. Then only the users can use the in-house application. This thing happen intermittently. 6 months ago, it happened a few times and stop happen for about 2 months. This things happen again today.
I checked the event viewer and event id is 5719. Description is "No Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller is available for domain. The following error occurred. There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
Why did I receive "No Windows or Windows is available ..." and yet I still could use the In-house application while login to Citrix using administrator id? How to prevent users receive this error again?
Thanks.

When you say the administrative ID, is that a Windows account? Does it match either the cluster service account or the SQL Server service account? You didn't mention where the Citrix data store is. Is that also on the SQL Server? If so, does the account you're using to connect match the account the Citrix servers are using to access the data store? This might explain why you're able to connect with the admin ID when others aren't able to with their normal accounts.
Has anyone looked at the domain controller? Are there any errors on it? Are any of the performance statistics (processor, memory) beyond threshold?

Yes,it's the domain administrative ID. This account is also the cluster administrator and citrix administrator.
Cluster service account ID is serviceadmin which also the domain ID.
SQL Services and all other services are configured as default system account which is "sa" ID.
Citrix data store is stored in the external storage device and connected to clustering SQL 1 and SQL 2 server using SCSI cable.
The account should be match to the Citrix server. They can still access the server. Normal can't access the data store intermittently. Six months ago, it happened intermittently. After that I did the upgrad on MDAC and added the name of the cluster server in the Data Source for all the Citrix server. It worked fine for a few months. But this problems came back again yesterday.
I have just checked Event Viewer in the Primarily Domain Controller (PDC) and find out the error. The event ID is 8003. Error message is as below:-
"The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer SQL1 that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_EI190x1. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced."
Thanks.

I think I have found out the solutions. Only can logoff the PDC server and cannot lock the PDC server.
Thanks so much for K. Brian Kelley. Without your reply, I still have no clue how to solve this problem.
