Check if all the Services are running in sql server configuration manager
check the protocols if they are enabled.

Thank you Guys, i was facing same pbm, Fixed it now.
Used Following steps:
Goto Run -> services.msc -> enable all sql services
thats it guys...
And dont forgot to enter correct username, password and server name.

Hi,
I have set all the services as automatic and also the protocols are enabled. The server is working fine in case of remote sql server authentication, but getting the same error in case of local server authentication. any help?
