Hi all,I'VE GOT IT!!!!!
A few minutes ago i got the mail from Bob - passed...
OMG - can't describe what I feel currently...
What a journey - it took me 1,5 years because of technical problems and one REAL fail!
I'm so glad - no. 6 in Germany...

Hooray!
Congratulations Master Uwe!
That's really fun to hear and very difficult to achieve for sure.
Sadly I didn't get that positive mail from Bob regarding my Lab Exam that I made a mess with a couple of weeks ago.
So I hoped to join the short list of MCMs in Germany but maybe later.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Time for a Henninger then 🙂

Hey Lars,
whenever you want - I'm located in Frankfurt. Send me a PN and we can make an appointment 🙂
I'm crossing fingers that you pass the second shot.
I have had 5 (!!!)
3 ended in a technical catastrophe and I got my money back
(Test center was in Berlin - but I'm sure you know 🙂 )
When the first - problemless - shot ended I was happy to finish but failed with 54% 🙁
Two days ago I had my second shot and - very very fast - I got now within 2 days the result from Bob...

Are you going to participate on this event http://www.sqlsaturday.com/230/schedule.aspx ?
I am going to participate. And suppose some other MCMs will visit it.

Thank you all for your wishes - feeling quite good after the stress 🙂
I really would like to come because it seems to be a quite good program.
Unfortunately this weekend I will start my holiday with the family.
I really hope that SQL Saturday will be a fix institution in Germany as it is in other countries.
Hope to see you on the next one 🙂

I just took the knowledge exam in Berlin.
Those questions are so wicked that only a bit twisted minds could come-up with 🙂
Designed to trick, and trick you again with trick on the trick. Initially I had a feeling I did very good.
But as the time passes by and I think about it, more and more emerges to me that some questions I answered wrong. I'm so angry at myself because of several questions that I could answer correctly, but I didn't.
English is not my native language, even not the every-day-speaking language. Word "volatile" costed me one question. Now I know what that word means, but on the site I didn't have Google translate.
I'm particularly sorry for easy-one question about the backup. I'm so mad because it's so trivial, I know I know it, I know how to do it, and I know I answered it wrong. Read very carefully assumptions and preconditions of the question, VERY carefully.
I can only hope that passing threshold is not above 90%.
Here are the pictures of the place that might be helpful to find the spot, in case anyone else wants to go there.
Oh, I almost forgot. I asked them about the problems they had with the Lab exam stability. They said they "think" the problem is now fixed, but the lab exam is temporarily withdrawn until they confirm and verify all the problems are fixed. We'll see. Now I wait 30 days for the results. If not from the first, I am convinced I could pass from the second attempt. Time is ticking, end of the year (and those exams expiration) gets closer, so I have to hurry up.

This one attempt took me almost 1000 km of the flight in each direction (>4h when there is no direct flight), 12km drive from airport to test center, accommodation for 1 night, and 2 business days. The cost and time is not negligible. Comparing that to Gail's 15 minute walk from home to test center, makes me jealous 🙂

The threshold is claimed to be 70%, just like the other Microsoft exams.
I hope you've done well 🙂

The lab exam won't be reisntated at the test centers until the next version is released. If you want to take the 2008 MCM lab exam, your only option is the remote lab exam.

Thank you both for the info, John and Robert.

Hi Vedran,
go for it! I'm crossing fingers you've passed.
