So, I have 12Gb and need to switch my max memory to 10600 MB right? Is that would fix my problem? I need to find a solution asap not to get openrow set error.Thank you
Changing your max memory setting should be done. 10600MB is a good place to start per the article. Remember they are guidelines and will not be perfect for all systems.
A good rule of thumb is to only change one setting at a time too. So pick one, max memory or MemToLeave, change it, then test again.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that you should not be doing this in production if you can recreate it in a non-production environment.

You're on the right track, you need to find the right balance between your max memory setting and MemToLeave.
