Hi,
I've been helped here before, and would appreciate your input on this:
I've set up merge replication. Just to see what would happen, I disconnected one of the machines. As expected, Replication Monitor came up with the message "The process could not connect to subscriber...."
What I would like to know is:
a) Is there any way to restart synchronisation automatically when the machine is reconnected?
b) Is there any way of informing me (eg by email) that one of the subscribers has stopped merging
Again, all help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Ken

The second question is easy - add an operator (this is under SQL Server Agent in Enterprise Manager) and then configure the Replication Agent Failure alert to send a message to the operator you just added.
Now, your first question - I think you may need to configure the agent failure alert to run a job that works out which agent failed and then attempts to restart it. I don't think that you can find out when the communuications link becomes operational again.
