Hi,
I am getting the following error message while configuring replication across internet, please suggest.
The merge process was unable to deliver the snapshot to the Subscriber.
If using Web synchronization, the merge process may have been unable to
create or write to the message file. When troubleshooting,
restart the synchronization with verbose history logging and
specify an output file to which to write. (Source: MSSQL_REPL, Error number: MSSQL_REPL-2147201001)

Hi,
Are you using a virtual directory to delivery the file?
Could you send some more details about the publishing you're using?

Hi
I'm getting the same error you told here. Had you been able to fix it?
I'm totally desperate...
Thanks in advance

Does that replication ever worked properly before?
Please send more details about the configuration.

Hi Bruno
Thanks for your help.
I'll fixed already. Making changes on my publication I've found that the default snapshot folder was in format C:\MyFolder\MySnapshotFolder
I've changed it by an UNC format (\\MYSERVER\MySnapshotFolder) and I don't get the error anymore.
I hope my experience helps to someone...
Thanks again Bruno

Hello,
I experienced the same kind of problem.
In a merge replication with SQL Express 2012, I got the error when applying the snapshot to the subscriber.
On server side, the database file is about 7.5 Gb.
Strange fact ... at the moment of the error : my database file (on the subscriber) is exactly sized to 4Gb but ... I read somewhere SQL Express 2012 file limitation was extended to 10Gg ...
An idea ?
Kind regards
