Merge Replication

    I have setup merge replication for my db application I'm now ready to sync the publisher and the subscriber however when I start sync it drops all the existing tables at the subcribber and then re-creates them? If this continues how will I be able to get the data from the subscriber to the publisher? Or is the data sync before the tables are dropped and re-created?  Thanks for your assistance!

    The Merge Agent is responsible for the initial synchronization of the schema and data at the subscriber. After the publisher and subscriber have been synched, the Merge Agent will handle all incremental data changes only and will not effect the schema.
