Hello All,
Can anybody give some pointer for Memory Settings ...
My environment is :
SQL server 2005 with SP3 on a 64bit environment
Windows Server 2008 with sp1 having 64 GB ram and 8 Core CPUs
Its a 4 node cluster environment with A/A/A/P nodes ; A= active, P= passive
It has a Transactional replication involved, reporting services and analysis service
I need to optimize the memory settings meaning tune SQL server for best performance and efficiency.
Need some light on where to start and some considerations to keep in mind.
Thanks for all your help,
\\K

real fine box 😉
i think that you should look for ppt: "Dude, Where Is My Memory?". This session was delivered at many event (incl. Tech2008, Teched2009) by Maciej Pilecki - he is a SQL MVP from Poland.

here is another ..probaably the best you are going to find, Slava use to work on the SQL engine TEAM.
after you get it set monitor page life expectancy. anything above 300(5 min) should mean you are safe.
