We are getting errors on our Production 2005 standalone Server that may indicate issues with Memory?
@@version = Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.5324.00 (Intel X86) Aug 24 2012 14:24:46 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2). Product Level = SP4 current on patches. 100+ Databases.
The server has 16 GB of RAM. Minimum server memory = 1024M. Maximum server memory = 13500M.
The 2 types of errors in the error log are:
1a. Error: 18210, Severity: 16, State: 1.
1b. BackupVirtualDeviceSet::Initialize: Request large buffers failure on backup device. Operating system error 0x8007000e(Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.).
2a. Error: 17189, Severity: 16, State: 1.
2b. SQL Server failed with error code 0xc0000000 to spawn a thread to process a new login or connection. Check the SQL Server error log and the Windows event logs for information about possible related problems.
The first error has been occurring during nightly backups (using a 3rd party tool) and will retry each time using less initial memory until the backup is successful. Usually 3 attempts.
The second error required the server to be bounced to resolve connectivity.
From what I have gathered via internet searching the errors are Memory issues. Some suggest a memory leak and others suggest allocating more memory to MemToLeave using the –g option on startup?
Can someone please advise on what my next steps should be? I am a newbie and not sure where to begin to determine a solution for these issues.

Follow the link this might help

give some more details like.
1. Stand alone server means application and DB are in same server or separate DB server.
2. what is memory utilization at that point.
3. is there any other activity running during the time.
4. what is the DB size which is causing this backup problem and where are you taking backup.
