My SQL server 2000 SP4 is running on Widown 2003 server.
Running a trace for a new part of the appliation, I start seeing a lot of "SET FMTONLY ON/OFF" statements. Researching the problem in MS, it turns out that they suggeat to fix the problem with hotfix/higher version of MDAC and to check how/when the variables are bounded. I did verisy that we bind before the execution, so only the Mdac was left. Downloaded the Mdac checker for MS. The checker reports mdac version as 2.8 SP2 and also reports abour 40 mistmatches for different dlls. OK, if I search in MS the highest version is 2.8 SP1... but I still cannot re-run it on Win 2003 - it doesn't let me It tunrs oput that Windows 2003 server comes with MDAC already installed. If there are so many problems with MDac, how I'm suppose to fix it?
Have somebody see this problem?
Any idea is greatly appreciated.
