Good morning. Is there more of a trend to only sit the 1st part of the 2-part exam nowadays? I am noticing more MCTS, even among the MVPs, than MCIPT certifications. What are your thoughts? And if you agree with my assessment, why do you think that is? The rapid release schedule? No time by candidates?
Thanks...Chris

I think it is more of a lack of updating to say one has the MCITP than stopping at MCTS. For those that stop at MCTS, it seems to be largely due to a lack of time.

I think MCTS and MCITP were relatively quick and easy to get.
There is no excuse for anyone serious to not get them within the 3 years between major releases.
However MCM seems like a huge time requirement that I just cannot devote to it.
I would really like to achieve the MCM for SQL Server, but with a full time job and two kids (swimming, dancing, karate, etc) I just never have the time.

Haven't heard of them, but if they are the equivalent of a braindump - i'd avoid them.
