Dear all - Firstly apologies if my post isn't specifically for this particular forum as I couldn't find anywhere specific for my question. I was proposing to study towards an MCSA Certification in relation to SQL2016 early next year. However I've found out that the MCSA will cease to exist after January 2021.
I'm looking to achieve a qualification which will help me progress within my career. Is anyone able to offer any advice in this arena?
Kind Regards
Dax

Which of the MCSA's where you looking at undertaking?
Development? Admin? BI?
For all of these you would want to look at DP-900 for the new Azure Data Fundamentals exam as a starting point to get your foot in the door for one of a better phrase of how things are going in the certification route.
There's no real replacement yet for the development or BI side of things as they where in the old MCSA setups.
For Admin you would want to look at DP-300
Other than that theres defining a data platform and data science exams also DP-100 and then DP-200 Plus DP-201.
You do still have 5 months left to get the old style MCSA's MCSE's, they will be active on your transcript for 2 years after retirement so it's not all going to be you've lost everything you have done. But if you don't get the certification by then, it will be.
