MCJ - The Missing Link

I have spoken with my boss, and in principle he thinks it's a good idea to help out here. Any preferences on what you're like in terms of a support site?

Some sharepoint site setup for, say 25 people?

Let me be the first to say AWESOME and THANK YOU!

I think that would be a great start. What all do you need from us?

A sharepoint site for 25 people would cover it quite nicely.

    Thanks so much Steve.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

  • I'm going to have to order mugs, aren't I?

  • For the site, and preference on where/what? I am not a Sharepoint person, but I can order service, set a few of you up as admins and go from there.

Anyone used any hosts before that worked well?

    Sharepoint Hosts?

I have never used an external host. We have always hosted it in-house.

  • I helped get SharePoint started here at work, but once it started taking off, I sort of fell out of the loop mostly. I know enough to be dangerous. I can set some things up and probably can get some help from my co-worker who is much more involved than I am in our SharePoint projects.

With that said, I can do very basic admin work.

As for a hosting site, I haven't looked at any as yet. I would suggest that the group spend a few hours doing some research and go from there, unless someone else has more information readily available.

  • Debate it, and someone PM me with a host if you find one. I'll be offline the rest of the day, and probably part of tomorrow. Getting ready for scout camping this weekend.

  • I'll do some research this evening while my daughter is at AWANA's.

Do we have the email addresses for the group yet?

  • I will have to delve into it when I get home. Hosting sites are off limits.

I have Steves, Lynns, Lukes, Malathi's, and Waynes. That leaves me missing a couple.
