  • I hail thee, o mighty newborn SQL Server Guru.

May thy fountain of wisdom never run dry and may thy humor never turn white

....wooh, seems to be an inflationary evolution of SQL Server Gurus' yet to come

May I suggest a custom title when hitting 1,000 posts

  • Maybe when someone hits 1,000 an email should be fired off to their boss.... "hey, how about giving this guy something TO DO!".

I spent the last week too many time crawling around our 4th floor where management resides. Hoping, praying, calculating, manipulating number for the next season...Hopefully I'm through with it by next week, right now I'm starring anxiously on the telefone hoping that it does not ring, so they haven't found any inconsistencies

While starring on the telefone 45 minutes to stay calm and pray before weekend starts.

However, ever noticed the information below your username. Saves a lot of time and is better than bean counting

sorry, didn't realize at first in the office (Must have been working, although I can't remember )

That thing with the boss mail is not fair at all. You're self employed?!? !!!

It would be fair, if you submit the mail adress of your wife, so we can let HER know how hard you are working once you hit the 1,000

  • Glad you pointed that out Frank. I'm longer self-employed, having recently accepted a permanent position. Changed my profile accordingly.

  • Mark, I'm a little late, but let me add our thanks as well. I know those posts take time and they add up to an incredible value for those that asked the questions. Well done!

  • Good to know you are over the ditch.

  • Congrats, personally answering questions is a nice break from work, much better than cigarettes .

Plus I learn a few things from watching randome threads.

  • Ok, now not meaning to rain on anyones parade, I know a majority of the posting is exceptionally helpful, but...

How can people be labelled SQL Server Guru's when a lot of the posting is done in the 'Anthing that is NOT about SQL!' forum?

Take this topic for example, not naming names but one poster has just added an extra half dozen to his count. Maybe a better method of rating, if its possible, would be just to exclude this forum.

    Hope this helps
