You betcha! I actually saw in an interview where George Lucas tried to say that he didn't, it was just the scene quickness and editing that made it seem like he shot first, but I still can't believe that he didn't.

I think ep 7-9 are good, but not great. I found the storylines not well thought out, and I think some of the editing was too choppy, detracting from their value. They were miles above ep 1-3 though.
