Maximum of 500 lines in the Messages Pane

  I have a lengthy conversion script that contains numerous "RAISERROR WITH NOWAIT" to see what is the current state of the execution. My problem is that only the first 500 fake errors are immediately displayed. The rest of errors are displayed upon the completion of the script.

  Is this a known issue of SQL Server 2008?

  Any way to overcome it?

  I have absolutely seen tens of thousands of messages before, so no, it is not a limitation of SSMS.

  What does happen though is that SSMS will stop outputting every message after a certain limit is reached and will only dump batches of messages, but I am not sure of the exact logic nor the size of the batches once it starts batching, sorry..
