max server memory?

    I have just run sp_configure and I have gotten this result for max server memmory.

    max server memory (MB)4214748364765546554

    I thought the default was 2147483647 but I am showing 6554!? Have i misunderstood this? What does it mean. Many thanks

    Where did you get this value? If you run something like sp_configure, you'll see the configured value in the third column, meaning someone has changed it. by default, I think it's at the max and the server manages memory.
