Hi
I am trying to get a subscription going and have to manually apply the snapshot because of low bandwith. But when manually applying snapshot, as the help-files says, do they mean to apply a snabshot file as generated by publisher (I have a compressed cab file normally used for ftp-snapshot download)?? And if, how do I do that?
Or, do they mean to apply a backup of the publisher database?

It means that cab file that you have created.
When setting up your subscriber set that you will load the snapshot from an alternate location and point to the cab you have from the publisher (stored somewhere locally accessible)

Thanks Catherine, but I have tried that.
When retreiving the Snapshot the publisher, which is set up for ftp snapshot upload, overrules that file-location and the agent tries to apply the snapshot from the publisher server, and fails. If I in the snapshot wizard tick off "No, the publisher already has the scema and data." the wizard never ask about the snapshot location. Obviously I am doing someting wrong. And I can not change the publication as 7 other subscribers are connected to the same publisher. Or can I?

Otto
