Hi,
I have a sql box with 2 maintenance plans that wont delete. They point to a db that is no longer there. And it says that Local Server Connection is not found.
Full error when i tried to delete is:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib)
------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The connection "Local server connection" is not found. This error is thrown by Connections collection when the specific connection element is not found.

BUTTONS:
OK

Any idea how i rid this evil beast? I tried opening the plan changing it to point to a DB that does exist. and creating a new connection. Then deleting but im getting the same error message.
Thanks
S

There are files related to the Maintenance Plan in the msdb database, more than likely logs.
You will need to delete the appropriate entry from the sysmaintplan_log related to the job id associated with the maintenance plan.
