Hi,
Version - SQL server 2005 workgroup edtion
SP - RTM
In this SQL box could not able to configured backup plan thru maintenance plan wizard,
Can we possible after depoly SP2 or SP3? why it is not allowed to maintenance plan in RTM?

I believe once you apply SP3 then you will be able to setup and use maintenance plans. It is also available in SP2, but there were a lot of issues with SP2 and maintenance plans. If you cannot apply SP3 then you would need to apply later cumulative updates for SP2.

yes, it includes all the updates included in SP1 and SP2

i have also faced the same issue , we have reinstalled workcomponents and applied SP3 on workcomponents , No we are able to work on maintainence plan.
