Maintenance plan task - Update statistics advantage

    Hi,

    What are the "Maintenance plan task -> Update statistics" advantages/advantages.

    What changes will happened in database after Update statistics.
    How much  is frequency to apply  Update statistics, depends on db size or any other situations.

    Pls advise

    It depends on how frequently the data is changed and the amount of the data changed. How frequently do you do index maintenance? and what is the threshold for your index maintenance?
