On a Win2000 server, I created a maintenance plan on an SQLServer 7.0 to backup a database but it won't run at all.
Any idea of what the problem is?

What error did it report? Look at the maint plan history, not the job history.

There was nothing logged in maintenance history and I didn't see any error reported. Where can I look for errors?

Do you have logging enabled for the plan? Its on the last tab. Also have it write the text report to a file. If you run the job manually what happens?

This is a silly question, but one that needs to be asked. Is SQLServerAgent running?

You are right! It was SQL Server agent not running.
