Maintenance Plan Backup for Multiple DBs

    I have a maint plan to backup 4 DBs and delete the previous versions.

    I understand that the maint plan will backup the current dbs before

    deleting the previous versions.

    My question is:  If my maint plan includes 4 DBs, does the plan backup

    all 4 DBs at the same time ?

    One by one. It backups and deletes the old ones.

    Ok, 1 by1.......but

    When does it delete the old ones ?

    4 backups and then 4 deletes OR 1 backup and 1 delete....and so on...

    It backs up all 4, one at a time, then deletes files.  If you are short on space, you can create a separate maintenance plan for each database or look into using LiteSpeed.
