I'm working on a strategy to deploy ddl changes to a schema. However, I have the requirement to maintain the data within the schema. Does anyone have a working strategy for this type of action?
Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain more about what you mean about maintain data in the schema and what changes you are making?

Since DBA own the structure but DBA does NOT owns the data standard procedure is that App Team has to provide needed scripts in case DDL will affect data - which normally does not.
What kind of DDL are you talking about? ... adding a column? increasing the size of a column?

I assume you wish to maintain a history table along with all recent changes made to your DW.
In this case have you heard about SCD Type 6....though this is not very conventional approach and I wuld not personally suggest
