The current tables like dbo.sysdbmaintplans store info on any 2000 maint plans. What tables store information on the 2005 maintenance plans?

Select * from sysmaintplan_plans

opps ok so they removed the db in the name. Weird thing is I cant find sysmaintplan_plans in the list I can see _subplans, logdetail and _log bit no _plan but yet it works

from those table, you can see only the maintainplan job history status (success/failure) .
Otherwise create new plan, check whether table is creating or not ?

SQL 2005 maintenance plans are created as SSIS packages. You won't find them in any system tables.
