looking for tutorial on relationships

  • hello, i am new to sql and this is my first post on the boards, thanks for taking the time to read my question

i have been searching google and several sql forums for links to websites that offer a good tutorial for using/creating/explaining (like explaining constraints, etc) relationships in Enterprise Manager, and i have yet to find anything helpful

i would like to find some website resources instead of book sources if possible

i do not want to bother you guys with the basic questions i have, but if you could point me to a good website that explains relationships i would greatly appreciate it!

    thanks in advance,

    sam

  • The link below should get you started, it is ANSI SQL so when you finish the tutorial run searches in the BOL for Microsoft explanations because that covers Microsoft implementations and some omission.  Post again if you still have questions.  Hope this helps.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
