Looking for generic SSIS Standards doc

  • Would anyone be willing to share their generic set of SSIS Standards?  (eg. Naming Conventions for the various SSIS Objects, Configuration parms, Logging, Error Handling, Deployment, etc..)

I've been tasked w/ the mundane effort to pull together an initial set of SSIS Standards.  Of course, I'll customize to our environment

    thanks in advance.

  • I'll check with my co-worker. He does a lot of our SSIS package development and we have talked about standards, but I don't know if we ever got to the point we had it documented in writing.

  • Lynn - anything is appreciated.  thx

  • I checked with my co-worker.  We have discussed the standards we are using, and have some rough notes written down, but unfortunately, we have had the opportunity to formalize the doc as of yet.  I will keep you in mind as we continue working on our DW project as I do know we want to get that stuff formalized for future employees that may have to work on this project down the road.

  • Hi .. were you able to pull off the doc for the SSIS standard conventions ? I have been assigned with the same task as well and was wondering if you could help me out

  • Unfortunately, no.  If I come across 1, I'll reply.
