Hi,
I am trying Log Shipping on my local system. Backup and Alert Jobs - and Alert, Copy and Restore Jobs are getting created.
The backup job is executing ok but the copy job is not executing.
The SQL Server Agent and MSSQLSERVER are running on the domain account.
I tried changing the Log On for the SQL Server Agent on secondary server to LocalSystem but still copy job wont execute.
Please help.

---As an addition to the above post--- 🙂
After my first attempt to start the Copy Job on the secondary server the SQL Server Agent (on the secondary server) itself got disabled.
Now, I am not able to start it either from the Management Studio or the Configuration Manager.
While attempting to start the SQL Agent service
Management Studio displays the message -
Unable to start service SQLAGENT$ on server .
Configuration Manager displays -
The request failed or the service did not respong in a timely fashion.

Are you using two instances on the same server, different servers, or trying to work this across a single SQL Server instance?

The two instances are on the same physical machine , that is my laptop. I am trying the Log Shipping across two named Instances installed on my machine. Can the SQL Agent services run on Domain Account in this case?

Yes, they can.
Is there any entry in the event logs to indicate what the issue might be?
