LOGSHIPPING IN SQL 2012 ,WANT TO SHRINK LOG FILES

  • Hi,

    We are configured the logshipping around 80 gb database.log file growth up to 60 gb .want to shrink the ldf files.what is the best way to shrink file without break the log chain.

    Another thing in same server going to do the domain migration:

    abc.xx.ad to abc.xxl.ad

    questions

    ========

    1. what happend in log shipping once we domain change.

    2.we are changing the domain name only in production server not in DR server

    3.cross domain logshipping work or not .after domain migration

    4.log shipping configuartion itself we are given .ad in primary server

    Shrinking the log doesn't break the chain.

    do you plan to have a trust between the 2 domains?
